The Public Bus Stand opposite St Thomas the Apostle Church Nirkan (Vogga) was newly built by Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R.) Nirkan Unit was inaugurated on the 9th of April (Easter Sunday) at 9:15 in the morning
The President, Mr. Alphonse Fernandes welcomed the gathering. The Parish Priest of Nirkan Church and also the Spiritual Director of Nirkan Unit Rev. Fr. Leo William Lobo & Mr. Stany Lobo - The President of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R.) inaugurated by cutting the ribbon (Yellow and White) one by one.
Thereafter Rev. Fr. Dr. Ronald Serrao, the Rector of St. Joseph's Seminary Jeppu- Mangalore blessed the bus stand and led the Prayer.
The inaugurator Rev. Fr. Leo William Lobo wished the members of the Nirkan Unit for timely completing the new project.
On this occasion, Mr. Vincent Bennis - Vice President of Nirkan Parish, Sr. Sevrine Fernandes, HM of St. Thomas Hr. Primary School - Nirkan, Sr. Celine Vas - Superior of Holy Family Convent, Nirkan, Mrs. Anisha Fernandes, Secretary, and Office bearers, Ex-Presidents and members of Catholic Sabha Nirkan Unit were present on this occasion. The parishioners and peoples of the locality were also present at this moment and well wished for the completion of the Project.
In the end, President Mr. Alphonse Fernandes thanked the sponsors and voted his thanks to all the gatherings present over there.
