July 11, 2017: Catholic saba Cascia unit with the help of Cascia parishioners collected RS.42,000 for the family who belong to Kayyar parish who met with an accident while returning from vailankanni pilgrimage on 13th may. Out of 11 persons 7 gave off their lives on the spot and 4 sustained with massive injuries and Mrs.jeshma one who survived. She lost her husband and eldest daughter in this ghastly accident.
Cascia unit president Mrs Daisy D'Souza and Cascia Parish council wise president Mr Jossy Theodore along with members Mr Oscar Menezes, Mr Lazar, Mrs Veronica D'Souza had been to Kayyar, visited Mrs Jeshma and her daughter and handed over the collected amount on 30th June in the presence of Kayyar parish priest Rev fr Victor D'Souza.
